art show – you missed it!

See what visitors are saying about the exhibition experience:

“I visit the exhibition full of weights in my heart, the different emotions in the paintings embrace me with the amazing poetry, when I’m leaving the exhibition, found myself lighter, hopeful, and joyful. I need that hug. Thank you for the embrace.” – Süheyla

“A beautiful response to this period marked by shared experiences of distancing, loneliness, and lack of touch. Embrace seems to capture what we have been missing and needing, and then offer it back.

Come for an embrace.” – Sophie

“It was great to move through the interactive space and to see the paintings from afar and up close. A lovely mix of poetry and art!” – Lawrence

“ Don’t wait too long and miss the experience.” – Belen

Its your last chance to experience the virtual art exhibition!

Dear friends,

You are invited to a very special sharing of my art through a virtual exhibition: embrace.

I have been working on and living with many of these paintings for well over a year now. They feature the heartfelt hug and comforting embrace that I have always loved and freely given.

The weight and gift of hugs are very different today, in the springtime of the second year of the pandemic, from the early months of 2020, when the first strokes of these paintings were brushed onto canvas. We had no idea then what distances would stretch between us and those we love.

I share embrace with you now, as in this month of May I celebrate another year around the sun and the renewal of spring. Yet even in the presence of my celebration, there is the ache and weight of grief, still being unravelled. And even still, in the presence of my grief, I find and treasure gifts of many shapes and forms that lift and sustain the spirit.

I look forward to sharing embrace with you. My art will reach out to you with a weight and gift that feels somehow and in some way akin to a tender embrace.
